If you are doing heavy weight training, its not optimal and sometimes even dangerous to jump right into your sets with your work weights.This app automatically calculates the weights (lb and kg) you should use for your warm up sets so that you are warmed up proberly, but not too exhausted.
The calculation method is inspired by Mark Rippetoe's book "Starting Strength". The first two warm up sets of five reps should be performed with only the bar. Therefore you should enter the weight of your bar in the start weight text field. The weight differences between the next 3 sets are then evenly distributed. The amount of reps decrease from five to three to two.This way of warming up is in my experience the best one possible. It warms you up properly, but does not exhaust you before your work sets.
